Zac Heide leads Laurel Auto Group to 6-4 win over Paul’s Renegades

A great effort by Zac Heide hoisted Laurel Auto Group to a 6-4 win in 11 innings over Paul’s Renegades on Sunday at Point Stadium.

Heide rocked Paul’s Renegades with two home runs. Heide went 3-6 in the game with four RBIs and two runs scored. Heide homered in the fifth and eleventh innings.

Heide helped Laurel Auto Group take the lead for good in the eleventh inning. After Ben Webb walked, Heide came to the plate with the score tied at four, and homered, bringing home Webb.

Austin Sleek recorded the win for Laurel Auto Group. He tossed 6 1/3 innings of shutout ball. Sleek struck out six, walked one and gave up three hits.

Bria couldn’t get it done on the bump for Paul’s Renegades, taking a loss. He lasted just two innings, walked three, struck out none, and allowed two runs.

The bottom of the first saw Paul’s Renegades take an early lead, 2-0. Albert started the rally for Paul’s Renegades with a single. A single by Evan Pricethen moved Albert from first to second. Raven Beeman doubled, scoring Albert and Price.

Laurel Auto Group got one-run rallies in the second inning and the third. In the second, Laurel Auto Group scored on a groundout by Sleek, plating Nico Pecora.

It didn’t take long for Paul’s Renegades to respond as it scored two runs of its own in the second. Paul’s Renegades scored on a two-run home run by Albert.
