Friday was a day Dylan Pietrantoni will remember forever as Pietrantoni threw a no-hitter in Laurel Auto Group’s 4-0 victory over Ophthalmic Associates.
No Ophthalmic Associates batter was able to locate Pietrantoni’s pitches during the game. Pietrantoni threw a no-hitter, striking out eight batters and walking one while recording his momentous feat. He got Foor to ground out for the final out of the game.
Ben Webb racked up two RBIs on two hits for Laurel Auto Group. He singled in the third and fifth innings.
Black was charged with the loss. He lasted just five innings, walked three, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
Laurel Auto Group didn’t relinquish the lead after scoring two runs in the third inning when it scored on a two-run single by Webb.
