Martella’s Pharmacy beats Laurel Auto Group 8-7 thanks to big comeback

Laurel Auto Group saw victory slip away on Thursday when a three-run eighth inning lead disappeared after a furious charge from Martella’s Pharmacy, who ended up with a 8-7 win.

Zac Heide racked up three RBIs on one hit for Laurel Auto Group. He homered in the third inning.

Zach Martinelli got the win for Martella’s Pharmacy. He tossed 7 2/3 innings of shutout ball. Martinelli struck out seven, walked two and gave up two hits.

Martella’s Pharmacy was sparked by Jack Shirk and Nemo Trexler, who teamed up for four hits and four RBIs.

Alex DiRienzo was charged with the loss. He lasted just 3 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out four, and allowed two runs.

Martella’s Pharmacy got two-run rallies in the second inning and the sixth. In the second, Martella’s Pharmacy scored on a single by Ian Helsel.

The game was never in doubt after the twelfth, as Martella’s Pharmacy scored one run on an RBI single by N Neiderhiser.
