Logan Urtz leads Laurel Auto Group to 2-1 victory

Logan Urtz carried Laurel Auto Group to a 2-1 victory over Martella’s Pharmacy on Monday at Point Stadium with a strong game at the plate and on the hill.

Laurel Auto Group’s Urtz was perfect at the dish, going 3-3. He singled in the second and fourth innings and tripled in the seventh inning.

Urtz picked up the win for Laurel Auto Group. Urtz allowed one earned run, four hits and two walks while striking out four over seven innings of work.

Nate Pope took the loss for Martella’s Pharmacy. He lasted just six innings, walked none, struck out four, and allowed two runs.

The first inning saw Martella’s Pharmacy score its only run on the day on an RBI double by Nate Negri.

Laurel Auto Group tied the game in the fourth on a passed ball that scored Ben Webb.
