JOHNSTOWN — AAABA League

Berkley Hills Renegades 5, Laurel Auto Group 3: At Point Stadium, Nate Spohn got the win when the Berkley Hills Renegades took on Laurel Auto Group.

Spohn threw five innings and allowed two earned and Ryan Loutsenhizer came in for two innings of relief and had no earned runs scored.

Jason Shirley went 3-for-4 and had two RBI. Shirley also scored two runs and had two stolen bases.

Facing off against Spohn was Mike Vizzini who matched Spohn inning for inning, throwing five. Vizzini gave up five earned and Ryan Bills took over with two innings to go. Bills gave up zero earned runs.

Spohn gets the win and the Renegades are 1-0 to start the season and Laurel Auto Group is 0-1.

Delweld 15, Ophthalmic Associates 5: At Roxbury Park, Delweld continued its dominance over Ophthalmic Associates, mercy ruling it again while coming off a shutout victory Tuesday night.

Ben Legath started the game for Delweld.

Brad Ditzler took over in the third and Austin Sleek replaced Ditzler in the fifth, closing the game.

Tyler Mayhugh started on the hill for Ophthalmic Associates and Matt Hogue relieved him in the fourth.

Delweld’s 15 runs came after multiple RBI from Matt Martin, Josh Robinette and Zach Solarczyk.

Martin and Robinette each had two RBI and Solarczyk had three. Martin went 2-for-3 with a double.

Robinette singled and doubled and scored two runs. Solarczyk also doubled.

Devin Pritts ended the game with a single in the sixth and scored the last two runs, putting the mercy rule into effect.

Kirk Davis had two hits and went 2-for-3 while Dylan Coral doubled for Ophthalmic Associates.

Cambria Legion

St. Michael 7, Cernic’s 2: In Johnstown, St. Michael capitalized on 13 walks and collected eight hits in a season-opening victory over Cernic’s at Franklin Field.

Gavin Oswalt had two hits for St. Michael. Cernic’s Johnny Sheesley had two of his team’s six hits.
