Laurel Auto Group victory over First Commonwealth, 10-0

Laurel Auto Group jumped out to an early lead on First Commonwealth and captured a 10-0 victory on Friday at Point Stadium.

Five runs in the first three innings allowed Laurel Auto Group to put the game away early.

An RBI double by Zac Heide during the first inning and an RBI double byDanny Clark in the second inning supplied the early offense for Laurel Auto Group.

Alex DiRienzo boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 2-2 day at the plate to pace Laurel Auto Group. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the third inning.

Dylan Pietrantoni brought the heat against First Commonwealth during his outing. First Commonwealth managed just one hit off of the Laurel Auto Group’s pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two during his four innings of work.

Horton was charged with the loss. He lasted just 2 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed five runs.

Laurel Auto Group tacked on another five runs in the fifth. A clutch bases loaded walk scored Heide to open the scoring in the frame. That was followed up by Clark’s double, plating Nico Pecora and Cory Wheeler.
