Laurel Auto Group outlasted Altoona Wise Trailers on Saturday after five lead changes, squeaking out a 10-5 win at Roxbury Park.
Laurel Auto Group finally managed to grab the lead after a strong fifth inning. Laurel Auto Group scored on an RBI single by Jon White off Kyle, plating Zac Heide.
Zac went a perfect 2-2 at the plate for Laurel Auto Group. He doubled in the first and fifth innings.
Altoona Wise Trailers jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the top of the third. Runk singled to ignite Altoona Wise Trailers’ offense. Helsek singled, scoring Herncane and Runk.
Laurel Auto Group scored two runs of its own in the third. Laurel Auto Group scored on a two-run home run by Logan Urtz.
A key fifth-inning rally gave Laurel Auto Group the lead for good. Laurel Auto Group tacked on a total of two runs on An RBI double by Zac.
Laurel Auto Group added six more runs in the bottom of the sixth. A scored Danny Clark to start the scoring in the inning.
Altoona Wise Trailers scored two runs in the top of the seventh to cut its deficit to five. A two-run home run by Pugh sparked Altoona Wise Trailers’ rally. Ray Sowinski ended the game by getting J.stern to ground out.
