Laurel Auto Group sixth-inning burst enough to top Ophthalmic Associates, 6-0

Laurel Auto Group beat Ophthalmic Associates 6-0 in seven innings on Thursday at Point Stadium after a four-run explosion in the sixth inning.

Laurel Auto Group scored in the sixth on a passed ball, an RBI single byRyan Wardropper, and a two-run triple by Ben Webb.

Wardropper racked up two RBIs on two hits for Laurel Auto Group.

Tyler Tubbs worked out of five tricky spots for Laurel Auto Group. He pitched seven innings and allowed no earned runs on six hits. Tyler Tubbs faced his trickiest spot in the fifth inning.

Bobby Thompson took the loss for Ophthalmic Associates. He allowed six runs in 5 1/3 innings, walked five and struck out two.

Laurel Auto Group didn’t relinquish the lead after scoring one run in the second inning when it scored on an RBI single by Wardropper.
