Laurel Auto Group offense too much for Ophthalmic Associates in 12-0 rout

Laurel Auto Group jumped out to an early lead on Ophthalmic Associates and captured a 12-0 victory on Wednesday at Point Stadium.

With nine runs in the first three innings, Laurel Auto Group left no doubt about the eventual outcome.
An RBI double by Logan Urtz, an RBI single by Nick Vento, a steal of home by Logan, and an RBI double by Derrick Zavatsky in the first inning and a solo home run by Danny Clark, a two-run home run by Zac Heide, and an RBI single by Collin Laguzza during the second inning supplied the early offense for Laurel Auto Group.

Danny racked up three RBIs on three hits for Laurel Auto Group.

Mike Nowicki shut down Ophthalmic Associates while he was on the bump. Ophthalmic Associates managed just three hits off of the Laurel Auto Group’s pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out one during his five innings of work.

Robinette was charged with the loss. He allowed eight runs in two innings, walked three and struck out three.
