Laurel Auto Group makes the most of 4 hits in 3-1 victory over Delweld

Laurel Auto Group and Delweld both threatened with rallies, but it was Laurel Auto Group that eventually took advantage of them in a 3-1 win at Roxbury Park.

Delweld got seven hits compared with just four for Laurel Auto Group, but Delweld stranded eight on base.

Laurel Auto Group’s Mike Nowicki was perfect at the dish, going 2-2. He singled in the third inning and doubled in the fifth inning.

Matt Kochasic worked out of 11 tough spots for Laurel Auto Group. He pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run on seven hits. Matt Kochasic faced his most difficult moment in the sixth inning.

A.Direnzo took the loss for Delweld. He lasted just 3 2/3 innings, walked five, struck out two, and allowed two runs.

The game’s last lead went to Laurel Auto Group thanks to a third inning rally that saw two runs cross the plate on a sacrifice fly by Ben Webb and an RBI single by Mike.

It didn’t take long for Laurel Auto Group to answer as it scored one run of its own in the sixth. Laurel Auto Group scored on an RBI double by Collin Laguzza.
