Laurel Auto Group fend off Martella’s Pharmacy’s late push, hold on 2-1

Martella’s Pharmacy wasn’t able to come back from the big hole it dug itself into against Laurel Auto Group, and Martella’s Pharmacy lost 2-1 to Laurel Auto Group after falling behind by two runs in the fourth inning.

Martella’s Pharmacy scored one run in the fifth on a groundout by Crawford. Despite its efforts, Martella’s Pharmacy couldn’t get over the hump.

Martella’s Pharmacy couldn’t get anything going as long as Tyler Tubbs was pitching. Martella’s Pharmacy managed just one hit off of Tubbs, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out none during his four innings of work.

Supanik took the loss for Martella’s Pharmacy. He lasted just seven innings, walked two, struck out seven, and allowed two runs.

Laurel Auto Group closer Austin Sleek put away the final nine outs to record the save.

Laurel Auto Group didn’t relinquish the lead after scoring one run in the first inning when it scored on an RBI double by Nico Pecora.

Laurel Auto Group put up one more run in the top of the fourth when struck out.

Martella’s Pharmacy scored its only run of the game on a groundout by Crawford in the fifth inning.
