Ben Webb did all he could to give Laurel Auto Group a boost, but it wasn’t enough to get past Altoona Johnston Realty, as Laurel Auto Group lost 5-0 in seven innings at Juniata on Saturday.
Laurel Auto Group was led by a flawless day at the dish by Ben, who went 3-3 against Altoona Johnston Realty’s pitching. He singled in the first, fourth, and sixth innings.
Geret Peterson got it done on the bump on the way to a win. He tossed 4 2/3 innings of shutout ball. He struck out one, walked one and surrendered three hits.
Tyler Tubbs couldn’t get it done on the rubber for Laurel Auto Group, taking a loss. He lasted just five innings, walked six, struck out five, and allowed four runs.
Altoona Johnston Realty closer #12 put away the final six outs to record the save.
