Laurel Auto Group drubs Ophthalmic Associates, 10-0

Ophthalmic Associates had a tough outing on Tuesday, as Laurel Auto Group dominated in a 10-0 win in five innings at Point Stadium.

Laurel Auto Group scored four runs in the fifth on Laurel Auto Group scored in the fifth on an RBI single by Mike Nowicki, an RBI single by Nathan Mori, a sacrifice fly by Danny Clark, and an RBI single by Ben Webb.

Nick Vento went a perfect 2-2 at the plate for Laurel Auto Group. He singled in the third and fifth innings.

Nick Kolat shut down Ophthalmic Associates while he was on the bump. Ophthalmic Associates managed just three hits off of Kolat, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out three during his four innings of work.

Black was the game’s losing pitcher. He allowed 10 runs in 4 1/3 innings, walked three and struck out two.

Laurel Auto Group never trailed after scoring three runs in the first on a fielder’s choice and a single by Nowicki.

Laurel Auto Group built upon its lead with two runs in the fourth. A clutch passed ball scored Collin Laguzza to open the scoring in the frame.
