Laurel Auto Group cruises past Berkley Hills Renegades, 15-6

Berkley Hills Renegades didn’t stand a chance on Friday, as Laurel Auto Group captured a blowout 15-6 win in seven innings at Point Stadium.

Laurel Auto Group scored six runs in the second on Laurel Auto Group scored in the second on an RBI single by Ben Webb, a two-run single by Logan Urtz, a two-run single by Mike Nowicki, and a walk by Nathan Mori.

The teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to four lead changes in the game.

Urtz racked up three RBIs on three hits for Laurel Auto Group.

Nowicki got it done on the hill on the way to a win. He allowed one run over 3 2/3 innings. He struck out one, walked three and surrendered three hits.

Laurel Auto Group pounded Berkley Hills Renegades pitching, as seven hitters combined for 19 hits, 12 RBIs and 11 runs scored.

Kyle Droz was charged with the loss. He allowed eight runs in three innings, walked three and struck out two.

Laurel Auto Group jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first. Nick Vento kicked things off for Laurel Auto Group with a double. A groundout by Webb then moved Nick Vento from second to third. Zac Heide singled, scoring Nick Vento. More runs came home for Laurel Auto Group when Heide scored on an RBI single by Jon White.

Laurel Auto Group added four more runs in the bottom of the fourth. Derrick Zavatsky started the inning with a double, bringing home Collin Laguzza and Gordon Barr. That was followed up by Webb’s single, plating Mori.

It didn’t take long for Laurel Auto Group to respond as it scored three runs of its own in the sixth. Laurel Auto Group scored on a two-run single by White and an RBI single by Barr.
