Local baseball in brief 6/20/2013

JOHNSTOWN — AAABA League

Delweld 3, Laurel Auto Group 2: After spotting Laurel Auto Group a 2-0 lead during the top of the sixth, Delweld rallied for three runs in the bottom half to edge out a victory at Roxbury Park.

Matt Martin singled and scored the go-ahead run on a groundout by Drew Hemminger. Austin Sleek had two of Delweld’s five hits.

Ryan Matsko doubled in a run for Laurel Auto Group, which also received an RBI from Gordon Barr.

Martella’s Pharmacy 4, Ophthalmic Associates 0: Mike Mulvey struck out 10 and carried a no-hitter into the seventh before Greg Martin singled with one gone in the inning.

After the single, Mulvey maintained the one-hit shutout in the Roxbury Park late game.

Luke Williams was 2-for-4 with a solo home run in the fifth inning. Jimmy Stenger and Dillon Boyer each had an RBI for Martella’s Pharmacy.

Claysburg 10, St. Michael 0: In Claysburg, Austin Cunningham scored three times while Mike Mock drove in a pair of runs in Claysburg’s five-inning win over St. Michael.

After carrying a 1-0 lead into the fourth, Claysburg plated six runs in the fourth and ended the game with three runs in the fifth.

Ebensburg 8, Lilly 3: In Revloc, A 6-1 lead after three innings helped Ebensburg hold off visiting Lilly.

Dylan Bowers and Scott Lucas each had three hits in the win while Tom Howe and Troy Templeton each supplied two hits.

Lilly’s Gavin Martynuska was 3-for-3 while teammate Zane Itle went 2-for-3.
