Laurel Auto Group tops Martella’s Pharmacy in back-and-forth affair, 8-5

After four lead changes in Wednesday’s game at Roxbury Park, Laurel Auto Group finally pulled out a 8-5 win over Martella’s Pharmacy.

Laurel Auto Group finally managed to grab the lead after a strong fifth inning. Laurel Auto Group scored on a three-run home run by Jon White off Neiderhiser, bringing home Mike Nowicki and Logan Urtz.

Zac Heide racked up four RBIs on one hit for Laurel Auto Group. He homered in the fifth inning.

Nowicki got it done on the hill on the way to a win. He tossed two innings of shutout ball. He struck out none, walked one and surrendered no hits.

Neiderhiser was the game’s losing pitcher. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed two runs.

Laurel Auto Group jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second. Urtz kicked things off for Laurel Auto Group with a single. A groundout by Nick Vento then moved Urtz from second to third.

Laurel Auto Group never surrendered the lead after the fifth inning. The runs piled on thanks to a home run by Heide.
