Early lead gives Laurel Auto Group easy victory over Berkley Hills Renegades, 9-2

Laurel Auto Group refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against Berkley Hills Renegades, recording a 9-2 victory on Saturday at Roxbury Park.

The game was decided quickly as Laurel Auto Group exerted its will early with six runs in the first three innings.
An RBI single by Nick Vento and a two-run double by Jon White in the first inning and a two-run double by Zac Heide during the second inning supplied the early offense for Laurel Auto Group.

White racked up two RBIs on three hits for Laurel Auto Group.

Laurel Auto Group relied on Matt Kochasic to eat up innings en route to the win. Matt Kochasic pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, six hits and one walk while striking out five.

Bryia couldn’t get it done on the mound for Berkley Hills Renegades, taking a loss. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked three, struck out none, and allowed five runs.

Laurel Auto Group scored one run in the third inning, and then followed it up with one more in the eighth. In the third, Laurel Auto Group scored on a groundout by Danny Clark, scoring Gordon Barr.

Laurel Auto Group added two more runs in the bottom of the fourth. A scored Nick Vento for the inning’s first run.
